About The Electro-Akoustic Quartet
The Electro-Akoustic Quartet is Melvin Johnson's small-room ensemble — a tight four-piece blending contemporary jazz vocabulary with electric textures and acoustic warmth.
Equally at home in a wine bar, a cultural arts center or a black-box theatre, the Quartet is the right call when the room demands something refined, intelligent and unmistakably live.
Recent residencies include Jazzy Sundays in Houston (presented in partnership with The Kinder Foundation) and the Live at Henke & Pillot 2025 recording session.
